We decided to spend X'mas in Mexico. Our children in their teens were growing up so fast!. We realized they would soon fly away from the "nest" to live very busy lives. We wanted to spend time together. We shared so many memorable moments in this trip!. This picture was taken in Guanajuato, Mexico in December '96, two months before we lost Mariana. She loved Mexico and said "Mom, I feel at home in this country". She wanted to go back to Mexico.

This is my favorite picture of Mariana. It was taken in Acapulco through the car window. Her beautiful smile and that typical gesture!. She seems to be telling us: "Cool, mom. Everything is fine". I love the way her hair is set free by the wind. Is a symbol of freedom. |
